Hospital Indigent Fund

New BornsFor more than 50 years The Wesleyan Church has provided compassionate medical ministry to the country of Haiti at the LaGonave Wesleyan Hospital and the clinic in Fauche/Port Margo. Patients are charged modest fees for care and medicine but many cannot pay even these small amounts ($1.80 for clinic consultation, $2.50 per day for hospital stay). This fund exists as a way for Haiti’s Wesleyan hospital and clinics to provide medical treatment for patients who are unable to pay for their own medical care.

 Micro Enterprise

One of the major problems confronting the Wesleyan church in Haiti is the poverty of its rural congregations. Many times the churches cannot afford to Micro Enterprisepay the hard working pastor. Many of these Pastors must leave the local area most of the week to support the family returning only for the weekend. A personal small business would enable them to stay home and close to the congregation all week and also put to good use the labor of spouse or other family members. With simple business training, modest start-up capital and follow-up accountability enterprise development projects will increase the household income of many Wesleyan pastors and other Christian families increasing as well their ability to support their local church.
