The Haiti National Church

 

 The National Church in Haiti is composed of District - Sud-Ouesthundreds of congregations spread over entire country each adding their own distinctions and patience.  In Haiti the National Wesleyan Church is very alive with a constant flow of youth still recognizing Gods call to ministry on their heart and exercising faith with willingness to make the necessary sacrifices and attend seminaries.  Right now the church is experiencing a renewed focus on the importance of leadership training and thinking toward the future.  The church also enjoys a growing relationship with missionaries serving in the country to help meet the goals that church has set and flow Gods leading toward the future.

Organization

 

District - La GonaveThe National Church in Haiti is represented by 4 distinct districts.  The districts that make up the church are the Eastern District, the South-West District, the La Gonave District and the North District.  The leadership of the church is head by a national superintendent and a vice superintendent with each district being represented by a district superintendent.

Leadership

Pastor Ducette Dorinvil was elected National Sup’t.  Pastor Ducette lives and PAP and is the lead pastor at Carefourre Feuille Wesleyan church which pre earthquake had a congregation of about 1600.  His wife works in the translation department of Compassion Haiti.  Pastor & Mme Ducette have three children Sandy Dora, Rochelle and Rico.  Sandy Dora finished secondary schooling and is hoping to attend one of the Wesleyan Universities.
 
Pastor Dunord the Superintendent of the Northern District was elected Ass’t Superintendent.  He has led the district for many years into what is we consider the healthiest of the four districts.  I don’t know details on Pastor Dunord’s family, maybe Dr Kris or Cory could fill us in.
 
Pastor Erold Pierre was re-elected National treasurer.  Pastor Erold is on staff at Carefourre Fueille.  He and his wife have 2 children.  His wife is the president of Wesleyan Women for the Petit Goave district. 
 
Fre Belyard was re-elected as Secretary for the National Committee. Fre Belyard is an attorney from the Northern District.
